Wapping Remains Ladies over 30’s team continued their winning streak last week, beating Worcester (in Worcester) 8-0 in the semi-finals of the National over 30’s Cup to earn their place in the final on Saturday.

Despite the 32 degree heat, the Wapping Remains held their ground to secure the overwhelming victory with goals from Lucy Todd, Charlotte Holt, two from Barbara Lo Giudice, and four for player of the match Jen Allen.

The victory follows on from a 6-0 victory against East London in the quarter finals which took place on June, 24.

Elsewhere, hockey wise the Vitality Women’s World Cup is due to start on Saturday at the Lee Valley tennis and Hockey centre.

The competition will be on for the next two weeks and will be fantastic showcase for the sport.

England will play host to 16 nations, four years after the Netherlands won on home soil.
