Old Loughtonians are hosting the Tom Wilson Memorial Tournament on Saturday, two days ahead of what would have been his 25th birthday.

Former player Wilson sadly died at the age of 22 after a tragic training ground accident in December 2015, with dad Graham passing away two months later.

Representatives from Loughts first team and Havering Hockey Club – where Wilson played as a youngster – will be playing matches from 2pm onwards along with Coopers Coborn School and Nottingham Trent University, where Wilson studied.

All spectators are welcome as the club looks to help raise funds for the Tom Wilson Memorial Fund, with a raffle including two tickets for the Women’s World Cup final at Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre later this summer.
