Sky captain Rizwan Siddiqui is confident his side are on course for a sixth Victoria Park Community League title after extending their unbeaten start to the season.

Half-centuries from Aleem Hussain and Javed Soomro inspired the reigning league runners-up to a third straight win with a narrow five-wicket victory over Rose and Crown.

Now Siddiqui insists Sky can improve on last year's second-place finish and clinch a record sixth championship. He said: "We've managed to do just enough to win so far, but we're in a strong position and the key is not to peak too soon. We're still confident."

Rose and Crown reached 141 for three following an impressive second-wicket partnership between Daniel Heaphy (51 not out) and Patrick Heaphy (45).

But opening pair Hussain and Soomro both recorded unbeaten fifties in reply as Sky edged home with three balls to spare.

London Tigers also remain undefeated following a crushing six-wicket triumph over Masiha.

Syiful Islam claimed four wickets as Tigers tore through Masiha's batting line-up, skittling their opponents for 51 in 15 overs.

And Tigers took just four overs to seal a dominant victory, with Raihan Ahmed top-scoring with 18.

Rob Morgan's unbeaten half-century helped London Wanderers collect an emphatic 77-run victory over depleted London Fields.

Wanderers made a positive start through Morgan (51 not out) and Howie Shearing (26), while Greg Munday's quickfire 36 helped boost the run-rate.

Robin Friend made a fine 27 in reply, but London Fields were always in trouble as Riv Monsell (two for 18) and Chris Connell (two for 27) secured victory.

A fine all-round performance from Ed Greening was unable to prevent

Old Ranwellians from falling to a fourth straight loss following a three-wicket defeat by Contenders.

Greening top-scored for Ranwellians with 23, but Mairajuddin Umer's devastating spell of two for 12 helped Contenders restrict the total to 100 for six.

And despite Greening's figures of two for 23, Ranwellians were unable to prevent Contenders from recording a three-wicket win.

Kirk Fleming took four wickets in a single over as Island Community beat in-form Bengal Tigers by six wickets.

Bengal Tigers made a steady start with a second-wicket stand of 32 between Andy Cox (30) and Tim George (17), but Dammika Silva had top-scorer Cox caught behind.

And Fleming produced a remarkable final over, taking wickets with his first two and last two balls in a spell of four for 15 as Tigers were dismissed for 85 off 14 overs.

Island made short work of the run-chase as skipper Tanjeem Chowdhury smashed an unbeaten 50 off just 24 balls to secure a six-wicket win with more than four overs to spare.

In-form Charlie Challinor recorded a second straight unbeaten half-century as Victoria Park Juniors inflicted a 55-run loss and a fourth straight defeat on Chats Palace.

Challinor top-scored for Juniors with 53 not out, while Soyfur Rahman (21) and Khalid Ahmed (17) gave useful support in a total of 157 all out.

And Rahman took two for 12 as Palace slipped to defeat, despite impressive knocks from John Saunders-Griffiths (35 not out) and Felix Murray (28 not out).

Pacific collected a third straight win as Darren Tempany's 50 not out inspired a 54-run victory over Tufnell Parkians.Rob Bastin (37) and Shayne Rees (21 not out) also produced positive displays as Pacific posted 172 for four, while Justin Hess (four for 23) and David Morahan (two for 21) did the damage as Tufnell Parkians were dismissed for 118.

Iqbal Miah and Syed Habib saw East London Community home in a tight four-wicket win over Tower Cavaliers.

Steve Williams made a brilliant 50 not out for Cavaliers, but he lacked support as East London restricted the total to 108 for five.

In reply, Williams (two for 16) and Cain Duncan (one for 25) reduced East London to 42 for three, but Miah (32 not out) and Habib (40 not out) hit out late on to seal a four-wicket win with six balls remaining.

The Ducks preserved their unbeaten record with a comfortable 32-run defeat of Caledonian Conquerors.

Ducks openers Zulki (50 not out) and Amir Khan (30) made a blistering start, while useful knocks from Sibet Hussain (24) and Ahmed Farooq (23) helped bring up a total of 148 for five.

Mohammed Fazal's 51 not out kept Conquerors in the hunt, but Sibet Hussain (two for 25) and Zia Hussain (two for 23) helped the Ducks ease to a 32-run triumph.
