YOUNGSTERS from Bethnal Green Sharks Swimming Club obtained high standard racing experience at the Middlesex County ASA Bag Cat & Youths competition at Southbury Road, in Enfield last month.

The most successful swimmer for the Sharks was nine-year-old Leo Sapiano, who won a county silver medal in the 200metres butterfly. Sapiano also finished seventh in the 200m backstroke and eighth in the 200m individual medley, and achieved personal best times in all three races.

The Under-14 boys 200m freestyle team of Kieran George Conneely, Scott Broadis, Ziwen Cai and Julian Lloyd achieved sixth place in the relay, while Broadis also claimed eighth place in the 800m freestyle.
