BETHNAL Green Sharks were beaten into second place in a nail-biting meeting at Loughton last week.
The young swimmers battled until the final race of the day but finished three points behind Hornchurch.
Reggie Regan won the boys Under-12 backstroke, Sunny Mammone won the Under-13 breaststroke and Olivia Taylor won the girls Under-13 backstroke.
Taylor also featured in the winning Under-10 mixed freestyle relay team alongside Courtney Bilbrough, Jessica Humm and Courtnie Toms.
The mixed Under-12 and Under-8 team also won gold, with Taylor, Mammone and Bilbrough joining Vanesssa Riscado, Lewis Morey, Leo Sapiano, Leyla Kussan and Nedas Jakimavicius to clinch victory.
