A round-up of the latest matches in the Victoria Park League

Millwall need just a tie in their final Victoria Park League Division One match of the season to claim the title after superb display saw them beat London Fields.

Millwall continued their batting prowess and struck a daunting 198-3 with Salman Amus (51) and Mohammed Hassan (41) top scoring.

Fields never quite got going despite several players hitting the teens, with Tom Darrant (17) top scoring as they finished 72 runs short on 114-6.

Millwall’s final game next week sees them face London Tigers, who can still win the title with a victory.

A stunning last-wicket partnership between Mohamed Naveed and Iqbal Miah saw Friends see off Rose & Crown by six runs.

After struggling to 100-6 the pair put on a 59-run partnership to elevate Friends to 159-6, with Naveed smashing four sixes and five fours in his innings of 59.

The Crown lost in-form openers Patrick Heaphy and Joe Fisher relatively early, but a superb partnership between Nag Mangalagiri (41) and Charlie Challinor (34) gave the Crown hope.

Their dismissals late on saw the runs dry up as Friends crept home by six runs.

Bankso Bears ended their season with defeat to Old Fallopians.

Batting first Tim Curtis struck a superb 59, but it was all in vain as Bankso finished on a disappointing 118 all out.

Fallopians eased home losing just the one wicket, with Farhad Waqar retiring on 50.

In Division Two, Camel Lights remain the favourites to win the title after a 56-run win over Broadway.

Expats beat Sports Interactive by 50 runs in their clash, while Victoria Lounge edged out L&Q Living by four runs and Homerton beat Pacific thanks to Len Hutchinson’s 53.

The Victoria Park League Cup final, meanwhile, saw London Tigers get the better of Millwall.

“I was happy after we reduced them to under 150. Our bowling was really good and because of the one catch I feel that saved us chasing 150 runs,” said Tigers skipper Salman Ahmed.

Tigers meet Millwall again this week for a title decider.
