A soft ball cricket festival will take place at Wanstead & Snaresbrook Cricket Club as part of a wider community engagement programme on Thursday August 2 from 6.30pm.
Soft Ball Cricket is about getting out and playing, having maximum fun, with minimum fuss.
There are no pads, no hard ball, no heavy bat and no head-scratching rules. It’s a game for absolutely everybody, no matter your skill level, fitness, or age.
Playing time at Festivals is usually about two to four hours, so it never gets boring!
Attendees are promised a warm welcome, a free T-shirt, free coaching, music, and food – all the good things about a festival with none of the grunge!
Wanstead’s Saba Nasim BEM said: “Local people can bring their friends and family and make a great day of it. For those signing up alone a team can be found for them too and introductions made with new team-mates.”
