SUPERSTAR DJ Tiesto takes over Victoria Park this evening (Friday) in a head-spinning, turntabling extravaganza.

With solid support from Calvin Harris and antipodean giants Sneaky Sound System, the outdoor dance spectacular is set to be massive.

The exclusive Victoria Park gig will be a major milestone both for the Dutch-born DJ and producer and for the industry, marking the first time a DJ will have played live to a crowd of over 25,000 people.

DJ Tiesto (he has since dropped the 'DJ' to be known simply as Tiesto) rose to fame in 2001 thanks to several major hits from his first solo album, In My Memory, including a remix of Delerium's Silence with vocals from Sarah McLachlan.

Since then he has enjoyed international success both on the dance and electronic music circuit and more commercially.

The concert follows a hugely successful 2008 North American and world tour, In Search Of Summer, which integrated a weekly residency in Ibiza at Privilege club. This year, Tiesto takes on a second residency at the club, officially named the world's biggest by Guinness World Records.

Calvin Harris breaks from the festival season and pre-empts a UK tour later in the year to support Tiesto. His catchy electro-pop tunes such as Acceptable In The 80s, The Girls and Dance Wiv Me are sure to get the crowd going.

Aussie chart-topping trio Sneaky Sound System fittingly complete the bill with Miss Connie, Black Angus and MC Double D's concoction of a deliciously addictive electro-pop sound.

General admission tickets are 36 with booking fee and are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or www.ticketline.co.uk.
