Children’s sparklers are once again banned for families going to this year’s Guy Fawkes public firework display in London’s East End being staged two days ahead of Bonfire Night itself.
A family extravaganza is being put on at Bethnal Green’s Weavers Field, starting 6.30pm, by Tower Hamlets council on November 3.
But the Town Hall is warning spectators that “personal fireworks and sparklers are not permitted” in the park, as in previous years.
A viewing platform is being set up in at the entrance to Weavers Fields in Mape Street, off Dunbridge Street, for anyone with accessibility needs, with stewards on hand to help. But all street parking nearby is being suspended.
