A stimulating show for children aged seven to 11 giving an insight into “growing up in 2014” has been created with the help of schoolkids in London’s East End.

Arnhem Wharf Primary has been collaborating with the Rose Bruford College of Acting in Sidcup to create ‘Colour’, which opens to the public on March 5 for a week at the Half Moon Theatre in Limehouse.

“The show’s director, Chris Elwell, said: “The script has been developed with children at Arnhem Wharf to make sure the show is authentic and speaks directly to the target audience.”

It takes audiences through stories exploring children’s lives navigating the colourful spectrum and grey areas of friendship and families.

Live music is played on instruments including the rare Appalachian Dulcimer (pictured), trombone, violin and guitar.

Colour runs until March 11. Tickets at £6 can be booked by calling 020-7709 8900, or online at: www.halfmoon.org.uk.
