VICTORIA Park's summer bill is set to go electro with the brand new L.E.D Festival launching its debut in the grounds.

Fresh from his collaboration with Destiny's Child booty shaker Kelly Rowland, dance chart topper David Guetta is headlining in what will be his only London gig this summer.

The two day event, being held on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 of the August Bank Holiday weekend, will also see electronica troupe Leftfield headlining the final day.

Festival veterans Goldfrapp and whiz kid Calvin Harris are propping up the line-up on Friday and Saturday respectively.

With festival-spirit in full swing by August, it is little surprise that another healthy line-up has booked itself into Vic Park's prime city space.

And L.E.D, which stands for London Electronic Dance festival, is evidently hoping to tap into the newly reignited zeal surrounding electonica that Lovebox only touches on.

Copycat Alison Goldfrapps - ranging from Lily's Allen sartorial u-turn into glitter face art and wind-catching silk ponchos to Florence Welsh's wonderfully eccentric fairy-queen stage turn - are no consolation for the real deal.

Having been a soothing and regular presence on the festival circuit for more than a decade now, Goldfrapp should bring some calming relief to an otherwise frenetic line-up.

On the other end of the spectrum, dance troupe Leftfield are back on the scene after almost a decade away - but minus Paul Daley.

The festival will also be Leftfield's only London performance this summer.

One half of the dance duo, Neil Barnes, said: "I'm really excited about playing my hometown. It's been too long! It's great to be up there with Aphex, Goldfrapp and Friendly Fires, all artists I admire."

Friday night headliner David Guetta recently landed a Grammy for his Number 1 When Love Takes Over, which also took Kelly Rowland over to a different genre.

Collaborations with the Black Eyed Peas and Akon have seen him dabble out of the dance remit.

Perhaps the most successful dabbler of the day Calvin Harris is supporting him in the Friday bill.

The Scot has enjoyed a healthy run of chart toppers since hooking up with Bow rapper Dizzee Rascal on catchy club hit Dance Wiv Me a couple of years ago.

Other acts in Friday's line-up include Soulwax, Audio Bullys and Tiga and Saturday will see Friendly Fires, Aphex Twin and Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac taking to the stage.

The L.E.D Festival is only open to visitors above 18 and tickets are 37.50 for one day and 65 for two days for early birds, plus booking fees.

Doors open from 2pm until 10.45pm on Friday and 12pm until 10.45pm on Saturday.
