A FREE multi-screen video and sound installation exposing London's "phycho-geography" has been set up in the Barbican's car park.
Created by artist, composer and playwright Graeme Miller, Bassline: London is a series of projections hidden in nooks and crannies around the Barbican's car park showing people's perceptions of the capital.
Audiences will see and hear participants' recorded testimonies which were recorded during an hour-long walk around the arts centre complex last month.
The walk is a journey into their memories, associations and perceptions of the area, capturing its hidden characteristics. Underscoring the work is a solo bassline based on a piece by Henry Purcell to mark the 350th anniversary of the London-born composer.
Miller has chosen 13 people, ranging from eight to 84 years from different walks of life who offer different perspectives of London through their personal stories and experiences.
Bassline: London starts today and runs until Sunday, July 26 in car park five. The exhibition is open from 11am-8pm every day except Thursdays when it closes at 10pm.
