Lovebox will celebrate ‘a decade of love’ this month with a line-up which promises to further enhance the festival’s growing reputation.

The festival will be marking its 10th anniversary in Victoria Park from June 15-17, which will host 50,000 people and an ecelectic mix of classic and contemporary artists.

Headliners have been confirmed as Hot Chip, Friendly Fires and the iconoic Grace Jones who simply said “brace yourself” when asked what could be expected from her performance. Other artists set to appear include Chic, Lana Del Ray, Magnetic Man and Kelis.

The weekend will also feature the live return of Groove Armada, who founded and organised the first Lovebox on Clapham Common back in 2002. Ahead of what will be their ninth Lovebox appearance, band-member Tom Findlay spoke of his excitement at being a part of the festival’s anniversary celebrations.

He said: “Talking to the regulars about a Decade of Love, it was clear that GA Live had to make a return. Those 6 years we closed the Saturday were iconic Lovebox moments.

“Unlike 2002, we can get ready for the 10th birthday gig without having to build the fence at the same time.”

Also playing the festival is ‘Hot Right Now’ vocalist Rita Ora, who said: “I’m really excited to be performing at Lovebox this summer and celebrating the 10 year anniversary alongside some incredible artists.”

As well as live performances, the festival will include DJ sets from founder of the legenday New York electro label DFA, James Murphy, previously of LCD Soundsystem, as well as Radio 1’s Gilles Peterson.

Friday night festival-goers will be invited back to XOYO for an after party, while the Ministry of Sound will be the chosen venue after Saturday’s headliners Friendly Fires finish their set.

Some tickets for the festival remain available online (www.loveboxnet), with prices starting at 29 for day tickets.
