Rehearsals are now under way for this year’s season of Bangla Drama being staged in London’s East End in November for its 11th year.

Submissions for the 2013 programme are still being assessed by Tower Hamlets Council’s arts panel selecting the final line-up.

The opening night on November 2 is an all-female cast performance of Mukti, directed by Ramendu Mujumder, which has been brought directly from Bangladesh for its UK premier, supported by the Bangladesh High Commission.

The season throughout November is a diverse collection of drama, discussions, talks, exhibitions and film screenings at various venues with a mix of new and emerging talent including writers, directors, actors and storytellers.
