DO you remember Bouncer's satisfied, smug look when he dreamt of getting married to Rosie the sheepdog in Neighbours?
I wore the same expression at the Jack Daniels birthday bash at the Village Underground in Shoreditch on Thursday night.
Brett Anderson, the object of my teen adoration, is shaking out Suede hits with the charisma and talent of yesteryear.
He performs a beautiful The Wild Ones, a raucous Trash, and a whipsmart Killing of a Flash Boy.

It's absolutely marvellous and not in any way a trip down memory lane. He looks and moves like a true star.
Throw in enough free whiskey to stun an elephant and it's a Bouncer's Dream moment for me.

The evening marked the culmination of month-long celebrations marking the whiskey distiller's birthday.
Former Libertine Carl Barat and Jon McClure, of Reverend & the Makers fame, also performed.
Barat oozed class with a blistering set including an apt cover of The Doors' Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar) and a smattering of Dirty Pretty Things. McClure's less convincing as he massacres Love's A House Is Not a Motel.
The trio were backed by a band of Nashville greats that included David Hood from Muscle Shoal Sound and Wayne Carson, renowned for his work with Elvis.
All three singers joined the band for an encore of the Velvet Underground's Venus in Furs.
