AN ART show with a difference takes its inspiration from the historic reading room at Bethnal Green Library.
Artists Sol Archer, Kieran Drury, Sarah McNulty, Alaena Turner have spent a week in the former lecture hall upstairs in the library in Cambridge Heath Road for the show which opens on Tuesday.
The artists are all based in Dalston who met through their studies at the Slade and Chelsea School of Art and this is the first time they have worked together.
Sarah McNulty said that the mixed media show featuring paintings, photos, projections and objects placed around the room has been inspired by the space.

She said: "It's about shifting landscapes."
The show is called Tilsandede, from a Danish word meaning 'covered over in sand'.

The Dalston based artist said the group have enjoyed working in the library. She said: "I just stumbled on this space, it's really nice to show art works here. The light is different from an art gallery and the show is quite minimal with some subtle interventions and very small projections."
The group have put together an eight page hand-bound book of images, accompanied by original artworks which will be available at the show.
The show is open between 9am and 8pm on Tuesday (May 25) and Thursday (May 27) and from 9am to 6pm on Friday (May 28) and between 9am and 5pm on Saturday (May 29). The library is shut on Wednesdays.
